For readability in the newspaper, font size should be no smaller than 7pt; reverse type should be minimum 10pt. (sans serif).
Page-Ready Black-and-White Ads
- Outline: 100-line screen, 200 dpi minimum resolution
- Highlight Dot: 5%; Midtone Dot: 35%; Shadow Dot: 85%
- Dot-gain Compensation: 30%
- Color images should be 300 dpi, for newspaper at 100-line screen. Any greater resolution will not increase the quality of printing.
Page-Ready 4-Color Ads
- Separations: CMYK
- Output: 100-line screen; 300 dpi minimum resolution
- Color-Dot Aimpoints:
- Highlight Dot: C-8 M-5 Y-5 K-0
- Midtone Dot: C-38 M-30 Y-30 K-10
- Shadow Dot: C-65 M-55 Y-55 K-65
- Dot-gain Compensation: 30%
- Total Ink Coverage: Not to exceed 240%
- Trapping of .25 points will be applied at the RIP.
