Kentucky Auto & RV Publication Debuts

May 29, 2006 - Milford, IN   the PAPERs, Inc. announced their newest Auto & RV publication in 2006. Kentucky Auto & RV hit the stand in May and will be widely distributed in all 120 counties in Kentucky. Currently 62,000 are being distributed each Friday.

Auto & RV magazines are the exclusive photo ad magazines dedicated to bringing buyers and sellers together with new and used cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, manufactured homes, RV’s and most anything on wheels.

Kentucky Auto & RV will contain business profiles on Kentucky dealerships and businesses, as wells as the “Nice Ride” feature on locally remodeled and restored vehicles. “It’s Happening Here” will calendar automotive events and happenings around Kentucky and the Midwest.

The birth of Kentucky Auto & RV brings a seventh automotive publivcation to the family of newspapers and magazines published by the PAPERs, Inc. Indiana Auto & RV hit the newsstands 13 years ago and has grown to a high of over 700 pages and 109,000 copies distributed weekly in each issue. In 1996, Ohio Auto & RV was introduced to West Ohio and current issues now contain over 350 pages with 100,000 copies printed weekly. Michigan Auto & RV came in 1997 and last week’s issue carried over 500 pages and 1000,000 magazines distributed weekly. Illinois Auto & RV began running in 2000 and Wisconsin Auto & RV began in 2002, with both running strong in every issue as well. A publication servicing Eastern Ohio was the newest Auto & RV magazine, first published in 2003.

With the debut of Kentucky Auto & RV, the PAPERs, Inc. now circulates a combined six-state circulation of over 566,000 magazines. “Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois auto magazines have seen tremendous growth in the 13 short years of their lives, more growth than we have experienced with any of our previous publishing endeavors. And we anticipate the reader response in Kentucky to be just as enthusiastic. In speaking to many within the Kentucky market, we feel the response will mirror what we have seen in the other five states,” said Della Bumgartner, publisher emeritus of the PAPERs, Inc.

From its inception, Kentucky Auto & RV will reach its readers through a free distribution system. “We plan to keep it that way. We feel that free distribution of the magazine offers the greatest value to both the private individual and business advertisers, enabling them to reach the largest audience available,” explained Baumgartner.

“Testimonials of success stories from readers will be printed in each edition. We’re sure that individuals and business owners will quickly agree that Kentucky Auto is a very successful avenue of marketing for them. It will broaden their base and bring in buys from farther away than traditional advertising,” said Kip Schumm, Publication Manager.

Kentucky Auto & RV will be published each week at the printing plant of the PAPERs, Inc. in Milford.

“If history tells us anything, one of the more difficult problems we will face is satisfying the demand for the magazine. In a very short time, we will find our racks are empty within two days after our Friday distribution. Free is the key. We are grounded in that philosophy,” told Ron Baumgartner, President of the PAPERs, Inc. “We think that making Kentucky Auto & RV readily available to virtually anyone interested in buying or selling almost anything on wheels is the very best way that we can serve our readers and advertisers.”
